Have you ever been to a speakeasy lounge? If you don’t know, speakeasy is an illicit establishment that sells alcoholic beverages. There are actually a few such bars/lounges around KL and Petaling Jaya, but I’ve never visited any of it. But recently, I’ve been invited to KL’s latest most exclusive speakeasy lounge, the DCODE 1A Private Lounge.
This lounge is hosted by none other than experiential specialists DCODE, with an aim to have #CreateOwnDiscoverExperience for its guests. At the event, I was able to create my own customisable cocktails by mixing my base drink, with any flavours available there.
It was such a lovely experience indeed, to be able to experience the many different flavours that I could create from just mixing a combination of tubes. But I enjoyed the champagne that night more than my cocktails creation, which is proof that I should not be mixologist.
We also had DJ Jane Chuck at the deck that night; one of the few times I’ve been lucky enough to hear her sets of songs. She’s so gorgeous in person, just like my beautiful dates for the night too! There were quite a number of familiar faces that I met that night, including the super sweet adorable Jenn Chia (https://www.youtube.com/user/jennchiayy). It was definitely a night to remember too… great ambiance, awesome drinks and good company. The fact that the precise location of the lounge is a secret and not known to many made it even more exclusive.
